Power to the Period empowers

students by providing monthly access to free menstrual products and educational resources

WHO WE ARE

Power to the Period was established out of the desire to reduce unnecessary barriers to school attendance and the social stigma associated with not having access to necessary, monthly menstrual products.

OUR MISSION

To empower students by providing monthly access to free menstrual products and educational resources.

What We Do

COMBAT PERIOD POVERTY

Power to the Period works to combat period poverty in the New Orleans area by ensuring that students have access to safe, hygienic menstrual products and educational resources.

SUPPORT SCHOOLS

We supply schools in our community with free, 100% organic tampons and pads via Aunt Flow dispenser systems and products.

SUPPORT STUDENTS

We support students with a monthly box of Aunt Flow pads.

FOR

Students

Do you need an extra supply of pads?

We’re here to help!

We’re here to help!

It’s as simple as filling out the online form each month.

It’s completely FREE, all we ask for in return is a few simple things:

Answer all questions honestly, with your most up-to-date contact information.

Be sure to sign-up by the 15th of each month for pickup the following month.  For example: Sign up by June 15th for the July box, which will be available for pickup July 1st.

We apologize that we cannot accept any new requests after the 15th as we need time to get the packages ready for pickup.
